THE SHAPE OF LOVE

Photo Series

I take photos of heart shaped things that appear throughout my everyday activities and walks in nature. Over time I’ve amassed a collection of over 1,000. I find the shapes in leaves, rocks, clouds, trees, moss, dirt, pieces of food, flowers, and trash, among other things.  Some are formed by the element itself and some from light, shadow, negative space, new green growth, and brown rotting decay.  Some are found up close and some can be seen only from far away.  Some have a smooth full shape while others are faint and full of holes.  While the photos spark a connection to the free flow of love that pervades all, they more importantly serve as an invitation into perceiving love no matter what particular shape it takes.
The truest form of love is you.
